PGM NOTE : an end-of-summer acoustic guitar excursion
FIRST BROADCAST : 19-Sep-2008
INTRO : Summer might actually seem endless in these globally warmed days, but eventually even the sun submits to the laws of orbital geometry, and our northern hemisphere begins to cool as it tilts away from the sun. In music, the change of seasons is marked by a slower pace, a darker mood, and a tinge of melancholy in the harmonies. With its naturally bittersweet tonality, it's a good time to revisit the ambient acoustic guitar.
On this transmission of Hearts of Space, an end-of-summer, mostly acoustic guitar journey called AFTERBURN.

"LIVING ROOM CONCERT" LIVE ON ECHOES with Host John Diliberto ... - May 14, 2008

We recorded a Living Room Concert at the Echoes Studio in Pennsylvania on Wednesday May 14th, 2008. JEFF TOWNE engineered the recording of the performance...Song List was "Prelude to the Sun/Haiku at Dawn" , "The Prophet", "Passage" (12 string / unpublished) , "Prayer Flags", "The Tiple Song" ( unpublished/ 10 string tiple),"North" (unpublished) and "The Cardinal"... Had an enjoyable discussion and a few laughs with John, talking about the music and artists who made up the threads of a few decades of recording...He even got me to screach out the original vocal part for "Audience' , which he will no doubt use at a future time as blackmail / extra funds for a nice vacation somewhere on some island....If it is aired next month with this live performance, the deal's off ... And I'll be on an island somewhere....hiding ...for at least a week ....In all sincerity, I had a wonderful stay in ECHOELAND, Thank you John, Jeff, Kimberly and Liz for your warm welcome and gracious hospitality ... lovely to meet you all .... And it is true ... John speaks every word right in front of you ....No closing prerecorded endings ... The man and the voice and a major dose of humanity .... Many , many thanks ... R .........Keep and eye out for the broadcast schedule of Live Concerts and interviews by John Diliberto and Kimberly Haas by going to www.echoes.org .... I'll post a note on the Broadcast Date/ Program # for the May 14th Living Room Concert ....
